This position administers and maintains the Librarys ILS (Integrated Library Services) system and the public and internal web sites. Duties include coordinating with ILS vendors on maintenance, integration and enhancements of the existing and future ILS platform; programming in support of the ILS system and value added products for the system; coordinating the development and implementation of new services and programs for web-based services; providing technical advice and support on the use of web-based services and technologies to meet the program and service needs of customers and staff; coordinating website content, assuring functionality and graphic design consistency; and coordinating with the Network Manager to assure website functionality and security. Minimum qualifications: A bachelors degree in computer science or related field and a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited library school, OR five years recent in-depth work experience with a complex client server database application; integrated library system preferred; AND three years professional library experience with at least two years of full-time website development and maintenance experience including working knowledge of contemporary web-based design and programming (SQL & HTML); OR any equivalent combination of education, training or experience that assures satisfactory performance of essential job functions.
