[RHEL] RE while trying to activate new Red Hat Linux server...

I was trying to activate a new Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5.5 server using the
rhn_ks -activationkey=422d40c6e1dbe2df0468db1ddef4e074 command and received
a time out message. The up2date log had the following error entry:

attempt #1
[Mon May 24 10:16:29 2010] up2date A socket error occurred: timed out,
attempt #2
[Mon May 24 10:18:34 2010] up2date A socket error occurred: timed out,

[Mon May 24 10:20:39 2010] up2date A socket error occurred: timed out,
attempt #4
[Mon May 24 10:22:44 2010] up2date A socket error occurred: timed out,
attempt #5
[Mon May 24 10:22:44 2010] up2date Error communicating with server. The
message was:
timed out

I have never seen this before. Anyone know what this indicates?
