Response to Dan Logan Stanwood;
The creeking sound you queried is very possibly the monophasic call of
Pacific Tree frogs. This call can be heard throughout the year coming from
trees and shrubs and in the springtime close to water. Note , this call is
quite different from the diphasic call "ribitt-ribitt".
