In collaboration with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, WHSRN has
organized a 4-day training workshop on "Shorebird Ecology and Habitat
Management" to be conducted August 15-18, 2000 at Ocean Shores, Washington.

What is the course about?

The focus of this course is to illustrate how to integrate shorebird
habitat considerations into wetland management planning. Sessions include
shorebird identification and ecology, survey techniques, and managing
impoundments and moist soil units for shorebirds. Sessions are conducted in
the classroom and in the field.

Who is it for?

Natural resource biologists, managers, students, and professionals
involved with wetland management for any federal or state agency or
non-governmental organizations.
