I spent about 2 hours at the South Jetty this afternoon and saw
only one CALIFORNIA TORTOISESHELL, apparently the movement (or
the conditions for the movement) is over.

There was also no noticeable movement of dragonflies, though I
watch a VARIEGATED MEADOWHAWK off and on for about an hour
that was flycatching from a perch. Another was flycatching a
few meters away. They chased each other every once in a while,
but didn't seem to be in any kind of hurry to go anywhere.

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
