FW Article: Owl patrol

Once a year, the Boston Port Authority allows Norm to take a busload of
people along the Logan Airport perimeter road to see snowy owls. The road
is close to active runways, so people aren't allowed to wander far from the
bus. We accompanied Norm a few years ago and had the added treat of close
up views of both snowy owls and an immature gyrfalcon, a bird seldom seen in
the Boston area.. It's not easy to use a scope on a crowded bus, but
somehow I managed. It was a life bird for most of us that day.
