Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday March 14. If you have anything to add call Harry

On March 10 a BEWICK'S TUNDRA SWAN was seen on Antone Reservoir east of
Mitchell, DeLorme page 81, B-5. The BRAMBLING continues to be seen near
Burns. On March 8 a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK began coming to a Cape Meares
Village feeder.

During the past week OSPREYS began arriving at their nests in the
Willamette Valley. SPOTTED TOWHEES are also migrating.

Two TRUMPETER SWANS were in the Coquille Valley March 8. Among a large
flock of AMERICAN WIGEON on Coos Bay March 7 were 12 EARASIAN WIGEON. An
EMPEROR GOOSE is now being seen east of Coos Bay.

On March 8 a SAY'S PHOEBE was on the North Jetty of the Siuslaw River
near Florence. A COMMON REDPOLL was at Yachats March 11. All three
scoters are now moving inside Yaquina Bay apparently attracted to a
herring run. The SNOW BUNTING is still at the South Jetty of Yaquina Bay.

On March 13-14 several thousand RHINOCEROS AUKLETS and over 2000
KITTIWAKES passed southward off Boiler Bay. On March 8 a EURASIAN
GREEN-WINGED TEAL was along Fenk Road west of Tillamook.

The SNOWY OWL first seen February 17 was seen again March 13. It is
located near Brownsville along Parker Road, DeLorme page 58, D-8. Check
the fenceline west of the large silver barn.

On March 13 a SAY'S PHOEBE was in Alton-Baker Park in Eugene. A GOSHAWK
was at Mt. Pisgah near Eugene March 9. That day a EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED
TEAL was seen again on the Creswell Sewage Ponds.

A MOCKINGBIRD was in Wheeler County at Spray March 10. A COMMON REDPOLL
was in Bend March 9. The flock along the Central Patrol Road in Malheur
NWR is still being seen. Five HARRIS'S SPARROWS are now coming to a
feeder near Vale.
