.................After snow showers that "didn't stick" on Fri. and Sat.,
the 'old man winter' really revived his act last night and covered the
ground and all with 3" of snow last night. Took a morning walk around
the mobile home court and surrounding countryside to enjoy the
last(????--had an inch of snow one nt. last week also) gasp of winter.
................Despite the snow on everything and the 31 degree temps.
the area was *loaded* with birds : FINCHES, BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES,
DARK-HEADED JUNCOS, GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS; ROBINS; STELLAR'S JAYS;
SCRUB JAYS; SONG SPARROWS; RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS; MARSH WRENS, FOX
SPARROWS, BREWER'S BLACKBIRDS; HARRIER HAWKS, DUCKS, and
flock-after-flock of noisy CANADA GEESE winging overhead,
and............what else I missed seeing or couldn't ID properly because
I forgot to bring my binos along!!! )-: Birds......birds.....birds
everywhere------winter may be "temporary ruler", but he will be quickly
dethroned ----the birds say it so!!!!
...............By 4:00 pm 41 degree temps had removed much of the "white
stuff", and ......that gray squirrel I saw with a nut in his mouth had
an easier time if it.

................Cheers
