Montlake Fill

10 member of the E. Lake WA AS visited the Montlake Fill from 8:30 to noon
on Sat. The weather was perfect, sunny and 65-70 degrees. The main highlight
was seeing an American Bittern, Cooper's Hawk, Green Heron and Great Blue
Heron all in view at the same time. The Cooper's Hawk appeared to have a
dark colored band on its left leg. A complete list of the 39 bird species
seen follows:

Green Heron - 2, one on log at Union Bay, 1 in NW wetland marsh

Least Sandpiper - 1 at main pond
