On Saturday 5/8, Sherry Thiel and I spent the day at Ridgefield NWR
River 'S' unit. Here were a few of our highlights.

American Kestrel - 1 (at I-5 and the Ridgefield exit)
Virginia Rail - lots calling
Sora - lots calling
Semipalmated Plover - 1
BLACK-NECKED STILT - 2
Greater Yellowlegs - 5
Least Sandpiper - 2
Long Billed Dowitcher - 10
Wilson's Snipe -1
BLACK TERN - 2
Mourning Dove - 2
Pileated Woodpecker - 1
Warbling Vireo - 1
Western Scrub Jay - 1
White Breasted Nuthacth - 2 (pair feeding young in nest hole)
