Hello All,
Today under clear skies we birded the Jasper Mountain Area which is just
east of Dixie and Walla Walla along the western face of the northern Blue
Mountains. The Walla Walla Valley was socked in under a thick blanket of fog
most of the day. Jasper Mtn. is the site of origin for the 108,000 acre
lighting caused Columbia Complex Fire this last summer. Birds of note
were.........

Bohemian Waxwing.....................7 birds flycatching from trees out in
the burn.
Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches........130+ birds flying low over the burned areas
and around over my head.
Pileated Woodpecker....................1 bird
Coopers Hawk..............................1 ad. female
Mountain Bluebirds........................4 ad.
Northern Goshawk.........................1 ad. male-photoed
Golden Eagle..................................1 ad. near Waitsburg, WW Co.

That is it.
Later Mike
