Hi Tweeters,

I have received several inquiries about the upcoming
memorial so I am reposting this. The social part of
the meeting starts at 7pm and since this will likely
be very well attended I would recommend arriving
early. If the lot fills up there is some street
parking in the neighborhood.

My best guess as to why this wasn't included in the
latest WOS News is that we weren't sure when the
newsletters would be printed and delivered.

Subject: Memorial Service for Patrick Sullivan

On Monday, December 3, 2007 there will be a
memorial/remembrance service in Seattle at the
Center for Urban Horticulture, 7:30pm, for Patrick
Sullivan who passed away on September 19, 2007 at the
young age of 35 years old. He was a longtime member
Washington Ornithological Society (WOS) and led many
field trips for WOS, many of which were co-led with
his mother Ruth Sullivan. This will be held in
conjunction with the WOS Members' Photo Night. There
will be spoken remembrances, followed by photos of
and by Patrick. Photos of Patrick from birders will
be shown. After this the regular sharing of photos
will occur, so please feel free to bring your bird

Any Tweeters who cannot attend wishing to
contribute photos for this service can forward them
via e-mail to Michael Hobbs who will compile them to
share at the meeting. Please forward to Michael at
birdmarymoor at verizon.net.

Contributions will be accepted at the meeting for
the Patrick Sullivan Young Birders Fund which is a
committee of WOS dedicated to helping younger birders
further their birding education with financial help.
Reminders for the memorial/meeting will be posted on
Tweeters and announced at the November WOS Members
Meeting. Even though this is called Members Meeting
all are welcome at any membership meeting, they are
always open to the public. More meeting information
can be found at www.wos.org.
