I'm heading out the door to Walla Walla, so can't follow up on this sighting.
Charlie Wright, our RAS Seen and Heard reporter, got the msg below from J LeMons.
Charlie is in N Hampshire this summer, after his freshman college year. He is doing
bird surveys, and quite likes it.

Avocet is. I received an attachment w/ the msg, but could not view it.

Although I am not in any birding "organization" I thought, perhaps,
the sighting of an American Avocet (Recurvirostra Americana) might be of
some interest to the birding organizations here in Western Washington.
