[Tweeters] Battle Ground Night Flight and morning birding fun

Hi Tweeters,

Audible nocturnal migration improved over my yard in Battle Ground, Clark
County last night. I heard about 125+ Swainson's Thrushes mostly between
5am and 6am. A few other chips were mostly unidentified. Daybreak brought
dark and dreary looking clouds so checking sunlit treetops for migrants
wasn't going to happen. However, around the yard, I was surprised at the
number of warblers and other migrants. I estimated:

Yellow Warbler 8-10
Black-throated Gray Warbler - at least 4 in view at once in the bushes
around the back deck
Warbling Vireo 2 (including one on the railing of the back deck
Wilson's Warbler 1 (in full song!)
Western Tanager 3
Black-headed Grosbeak 2 (one sub-adult male which is a migrant since I
believe the local subadults left at least a week ago)
Rufous Hummingbird 3 (distinctly different individuals)

Keep your eyes skyward.

Jim
