[Tweeters] Bothell sightings

Hi, Tweets

My several varied thrushes are still around and singing loudly along
with pine siskins and singing purple finches and, of course, the
usual denizens of a forested area. The other day a raven flew over,
but haven't seen one since. And, not a rarity for most of you, but it
is here: we have at least one hummingbird staying around, an Anna's female.

The two nearest osprey nests - both on cell towers - have their
residents back. The one up from Thrashers Corner at the top of the
hill near the substation had one on a pole near the nest and the
other in the nest. At the nest on 228th, east of Canyon Park, there
was one bird perched on the top, but couldn't see another. The first
nest fledged four young last year!! Quite a sight to see six osprey
flying around the tower and exercising on top.

Cheers, Diann
