[Tweeters] possible Tweeters spam

Dear Tweeters,

I don't know anything about "Plaxo." It sounds like some sort of social networking site.  

Actually, come to think of it, it sounds more like a periodontic treatment.

At any rate, a person going by the name of Nancy Lander sent me a message via Tweeters, inviting me to join them on Plaxo. Is this legit, or is this some sort of online scam?
