Hello all,
This morning Ginger Shoemake, my mom and I birded the west end of Walla
Walla county - at the delta were two Caspian Terns, 285 Dunlin, lots of
mallards, wigeon, pintails and gulls but nothing else unusual. No avocets or
stilts yet.
Down past Port Kelley we found several White-throated Swifts, lots of
Violet-green Swallows and both Prairie and Peregrine Falcons - back to nest
we hope!
McNary NWR display pond still host 3 Trumpeter Swans. Lots of Yellow-rumped
Warblers in the trees and White-crowned Sparrows singing in the brush.
MP 300 ponds have 50+ G. White-fronted Geese, 1 adult Bald Eagle, and a few
other waterfowl. There were 2 Eurasian Wigeon at Tyson ponds and 3 Bald
Eagles.
Happy spring birding, MerryLynn
