Hello Tweeters-

A long slow walk around Carkeek Park in Seattle today produced a number of
signs of spring.

Most notable were a flyover adult NORTHERN GOSHAWK and a flyover GREATER
YELLOWLEGS (heard from well back from the water - a bit incongruous from
under the canopy!).

Other notables were RED CROSSBILL, a flock of 70 PINE SISKIN, and 18 BRANT +
4 migrating north. Also had RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER drilling wells, which we
don't see every day at Carkeek.

Many common species were singing, including Winter Wren, and our first
singing HUTTON'S VIREOS.
