Birders,

For those who may be interested, the MCCOWN'S LONGSPUR was still along the
seawall in Stanley Park, Vancouver, BC till about 6 PM yesterday, October
14. The bird was found on October 10, and remained in the same area all day
on October 11, 12, 13, and 14.

The location is along the seawall beside Coal Harbour, east of the Vancouver
Yacht Club and just west of the turnoff to the Aquarium. Birdseed has been
scattered in the strip between the paved pedestrian path and bike path, and
the longspur is feeding on the birdseed plus weed seeds in the area.

It does leave the area at least occasionally, having been seen for awhile
perched on one of the boats in Coal Harbour and even at Devonian Harbour
Park, a short distance away on the other (south) side of Coal Harbour.

The LARK BUNTING found near the UBC Museum of Anthropology reappeared
briefly on the morning of October 12, but has not been seen since.

Good luck to anyone looking for the longspur!
