Hi Tweets,

This is an email for the photographers out there or for those interested in
seeing a Marbled Murrelet. I am on the 7:30am ferry from Mukilteo (to
Clinton) every Wednesday morning. For the past 5-6 weeks, there has been a
single Marbled Murrelet just west of the ferry dock. It has been very
reliable and I assume is there most mornings. On several occasions, it
passed within 20 ft of shore where it would provide excellent photo
opportunities for anyone standing on the beach.

You can park at Mukilteo State Park and - at low tide - walk around the
point where the lighthouse is. If you time it right, a good current will
allow it to fish right past the point. I should note that I had to grab a
later ferry last week (around 10:30) and the bird was not present, so
morning appears to be the best bet.

I assume that it is one of two adults that is taking turns foraging for a
chick so I don't assume that it will be reliable for much longer.
