Hi Tweets,

Dreaming of being at Ocean Shores right now, I spent about an hour
shorebirding this morning on Vashon.

*KVI Beach:*
There was one juvenile BAIRD'S SANDPIPER in with about 20 each of WESTERN
and LEAST SANDPIPER. Also one juvenile SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, one SPOTTED
SANDPIPER and a handful of KILLDEER. I was there about 6:30 this morning and
you just can't beat checking out shorebirds with a brilliant sun directly at
your back. Scope is recommended. Showing up a couple hours before or after
high tide is probably best for this spot.

*Fern Cove:*
Not much, just 10+ KILLDEER and six SPOTTED SANDPIPERS. There was a molting
BONAPARTE'S GULL floating out in the channel.
