Hey Tweets,
I had the pleasure of leading a SAS trip in the Kent Valley 'Wet Spots' this last saturday. It rained on us most of the morning, alternating with a light drizzle. The weather finally got nice in the late afternoon.

Highlights -
4 sightings of PEREGRINE FALCON- 1 @ Emerald Downs/"M" St, 1 @ Boeing Ponds (perched on the buidling until it dive-bombed and chased a Great Blue Heron), 1 in the trees at the flooded fields at 204th, and finally one at the mouth of the Cedar River perched on the buildings.

BRANT - Corner of 212th and 59th, just south of the Boeing ponds. With a mixed flock of CANADA and CACKLING GEESE

DUNLIN - Flock of about 40 at the flooded fields at 204th, and another 30 seen from the south tower in the Kent Ponds.

GULLS - 7 Species - GLAUCOUS-WINGED, MEW, RING-BILLED, HERRING, CALIFORNIA, THAYERS, WESTERN - at the mouth of the Cedar and Coulon Park at dusk. Low numbers, actually, because most of the them flew north from the log booms before dusk.

BLAD EAGLES - A pair from Coulon Park, diving and trying to grab COOTS, right at dusk. Wonderful Show, but they went hungry that evening.

Fairly good numbers and variety of ducks and waterfowl -
GREEN-WINGED TEAL, NORTHERN PINTAIL, MALLARD, GADWALL, AMERICAN WIGEON, EURASIAN WIGEON(1), GREATER and LESSER SCAUP, RING-NECK DUCK, RUDDY DUCK, NORTHERN SHOVELER, CANADA GOOSE, CACKLING GOOSE, BRANT, TRUMPETER SWAN, AMERICAN COOT, BUFFLEHEAD, HOODED MERGANSER, COMMON MERGANSER, BARROW'S and COMMON GOLDENEYE, PIED-BILLED GREBE, HORNED GREBE, WESTERN GREBE

We survived the drippy weather, and had a good time.
It was a good day! Hah!
