[Tweeters] Juanita Bay Park question

Hi Tweeters,

I went to JBP yesterday a.m. and saw LOTS of juveniles out and about. At the end of the long boardwalk (west one) is a snag with baby tree swallow faces peeking out of holes (oh so cuuuute!). The top part of that snag was swarming with little finchy-birds. Due to the light, I couldn't really tell what they were. Big, active group of them--stripey, light wing bars, notched tail. Has anyone else see them? Could they be pine siskins? A couple of birds in the mix looked like house finches--one with a more yellow/gold color on head/body than most. But the rest were smaller and more "flitty". Hmmm...

Good woodpecker day! Saw a juvenile r-b sapsucker right by that boardwalk, 2 pileateds on a tall snag in the same vicinity (1 a juvenile), a downy woodpecker and a flicker, all near that one walkway.
