Today, 03MAY10, at around noon, I found a nice flock of shorebirds in the muddy area north of the new wetland ponds. There were about 50 Least sandpipers, 4 Western Sandpipers, several Killdeer, and one Wilson's snipe.

To get to this spot, go to the new wetland pond area and follow the gravel trail between two large mounds/hills in the Northwest corner of the wetlands. This path winds around towards the tennis courts and the restrooms. The field around the path is partially flooded and muddy and this is where the peeps were feeding. It looks like it could be a productive little shorebird spot.
