I was able to get about 3 hours of birding in between rain showers this afternoon. I made just a couple of stops, birding two portions of the Willipa Hills Trail. I started at the Dieckman Rd. access and walked east. Here I had;
CINNAMON TEAL - 1
BALD EAGLE - 1
RED-TAILED HAWK - 2
AMERICAN KESTREL - 1
NORTHERN HARRIER - 1
BAND-TAILED PIGEON - 2
MARSH WREN - quite a few singing
SAVANNAH SPARROW - 1
YELLOW WARBLER - 1
SCRUB JAY - 1
BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK - 1

My second stop was the access past Adna. I started on the upper trail, which is mostly open clearcut. I went just a little ways in before heading to the lower main section of the trail. Here I had;
Upper trail
RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD - 1
BAND-TAILED PIGEON - 1
WILLOW FLYCATCHER - 3
OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER - 1
MacGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER - 1

Lower main trail
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER
WILSON'S WARBLER
BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER
WARBLING VIREO
BROWN CREEPER - 1
SWAINSON'S THRUSH
PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER
BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK
