Rolan,

I have a Nov 16, 1997 record and a Dec 4, 2009 record of Lesser Yellowlegs in Washington state. I suspect that other birders have such records as well. So while they are by no means common after November, Lesser Yelllowlegs do occur.

Tony,

General rule of thumb. If it's November (or later) it's a Greater. Lessers are not allowed in WAshington after November1.

Saw several of these shorebirds at Nisqually Refuge yesterday, looking for ID confirmation as my field guides were a little ambiguous for my novice eye.
