Hi Tweets,

The ruddy duck continues at the fill; this morning I saw it at the edge of
the lily pads, south of the main pond. Also seen this morning was a flock
of 10 or so peeps, calling ("peep peep peep"), in formation, landing in the
lily pads near the ruddy duck and little mud island the gadwalls like so
much. They were two-toned grey on the wing, bright white chest, and strong
white yoke when walking around. I hope someone else sees them who knows
what their peeps! My guess from the size on the wing and flocking behavior
was least sandpiper, but the strong white yoke and gray back made me think
spotted sandpiper. Maybe there were both! I hope the nice man with the
giant camera got some shots of them.

Great morning for birding!
