Tweets - I'm doing a quick run through E. WA trying to find shorebirds.

Today, I stopped at the Grandview STP, where I found Greater and Lesser
Yellowlegs, along with many Red-necked Phalarope and some Western and Least
Sandpipers.

Next stop was the Pasco Animal Shelter Pond, where I found a Hooded
Merganser, had a close visit with a Red Fox, and then was shocked to find a
NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH. It seemed to be hanging around near the wet spot just
next to the fence by the shelter.

Winddust was very quiet.

Washtucna STP had quite a few Least and a few Western Sandpipers. There was
also a Wilson's Phalarope and several Baird's Sandpipers.

Bassett Park in Washtucna was pretty quiet too, but I saw the Barn Owl, and
there was an Olive-sided Flycatcher.

The pond accessed by the tunnel under the tracks from the Lyons Ferry Marina
in Columbia County had quite a few Green-winged Teal.

A few places had Western Tanager. Other than that, there wasn't much
indication of passerine migration.
