Hi Tweeters and Inland NW Birders -
Last weekend, the Washington Bird Records Committee [WBRC] met at the
Slater Museum to consider the latest round of reports. 84 reports
were reviewed and voted on, 64 of which were accepted. 4 birds new to
the official Washington State list were added to the list based on
these votes: Lesser Sand-Plover, Wood Sandpiper, Canada Warbler &
Lawrence's Goldfinch. The state list now stands at 502 species with
these additions.

In addition, Black Phoebe was removed from the review list, given its
continued occurence and breeding records this year. And Little Gull
was reinstated as a review species given its limited occurence in
recent years. The committee welcomes reports of Little Gull as well
as any other review species.

The results of this round's votes can be found at the following link
on the WOS website:

The revised official state list and the revised list of 'review
species' are available here:

I welcome any questions about the status of past decisions or any new
report submissions,

Matt Bartels
Secretary, WBRC
Seattle, WA
