[Tweeters] Dead Hawk

While walking on a local trail today I found the remains of a hawk. Its
head, body and tail had largely gone but what remained seemed to fit a
juvenile Red Tail in size and wing coloration. What struck me however was
its feet, which were feathered right down to the base of the claws.

This doesn't fit with the illustrations in any of my various books. Do
juvenile red tails have feathered feet?

I have some photos if anyone is interested.
