Tweets,

Spent part of the morning yesterday (29 Oct) at MacDonald Park in
Carnation. First, a Northern Harrier, then, later, a Rough-legged Hawk
(very dark carpal bar) cruised by, both heading S more or less parallel
to the river. Another notable in the park was a Hermit Thrush giving a
very quiet contact note and nice views.

In the fields by Sikes Lake, large numbers of Cackling (>600) and Canada
(>100) Geese, plus 16 Greater White-fronted Geese. A couple of the
latter were larger, darker with quite thick necks. Are these the Tule
subspecies or just larger males?

Finally, at Stillwater, watched a Red-tailed Hawk come in to land being
roundly harassed by a Steller's Jay and Belted Kingfisher.
