Hello,

I went out this morning looking for the reported (by everyone) Snowy Owl on
Coulee Hite Road and was unsuccessful in finding the bird. After missing the
owl, I decided to do a quick loop of Thorpe, Stroup, Ladd and Coulee Hite
area. Along this route, I found a flock of Snow Buntings (10) along Carstens
Rd (the Spokane/Lincoln County line), numerous Red tailed and Rough legged
Hawks, Northern Harriers, a Red winged Blackbird, Horned Larks, Northern
Shrikes (2), and American Tree Sparrows (2).

After finishing this lop, I decided to go back and look for the Snowy Owl
again and again I missed it. But this time, I did find a beautiful
GYRFALCON, sitting on a power pole right closest to the gray mobile home,
west side of Coulee Hite, about ¼ mi north of Hwy 2. I enjoyed a great scope
view of this adult gray phase bird before it flew off to the west.
Impressive bird!

Now if the snowy would come back...

Blessings
