I spent most of the day on the Waterville Plateau in Douglas Co today, crossing over into Okanogan Co late in the day. Here the highlights:
-Snow Bunting (3 in a flock of Horned larks near 5NW & 172 south of Withrow; 3 more in another flock of Horned Larks at 172 & K NE)-Gray Partridge (15 at Withrow grain terminal)-Snowy Owl (continuing bird on Division just north of 172)-Townsend's Solitaire (1 in Mansfield)-Common Redpoll (2 amazing flocks of about 125 birds each along Heritage Ln and at the upper Sharp-tailed Grouse area along Bridgeport Hill Rd; 1 at lower area)-Sharp-tailed Grouse (3 at the upper Sharp-tailed Grouse area along Bridgeport Hill Rd perched up right next to the road)-Bohemian Waxwing (60 near US97 & Max Goehry Rd just east of Brewster) -Yellow-rumped Warbler (1 along access road to Washburn Island)
Also nice was a Porcupine at the Long-eared Owl spot along Heritage Ln (alas no Long-eared Owls).
