[Tweeters] Cassin's Vireo song

Although we've run the normal kinds of birds moving through here, I was surprised to hear not one but two Cassin's singing. One is very close to our house, and the other much further in the woods. Although I've not yet laid eyes upon this singer, I did play my recording and it is indeed this fellow. Is this early for them, or about the right time?

Also a bird event of note, I have both sharpies and coopers at regular intervals. However last week an owl like bird came and quickly snatched a feeding Siskin. The reason I say this is due to wing shape and size. Because I was on the deck, I could not chase further. As I headed off my deck, it was the opposite way of the action. It was mid afternoon. At night I do hear the great Horned, and all other large owls now seem to be absent. Haven't found a roost or best, but there are perhaps 40 acres total, and some I dare not enter.

We now live within walking distance of Prinz Basin, between Bonney Lake, and Buckley.
