This morning at the Cedar River Mouth I saw no shorebirds. And no unusual birds at all that I could find. But there is always something interesting to enjoy.

Two things I don't see that often:
Two male ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS sharing a perch http://www.pbase.com/marvbreece/image/161527527
An adult HERRING GULL still in alternate plumage http://www.pbase.com/marvbreece/image/161527528

Also at this location:
Thayer's Gull - 2 adults; one light eyed and one dark eyed
Greater White-fronted Goose - the continuing pair of juveniles
A flock of Bushtits
White-crowned Sparrow
Golden-crowned Sparrow

Keep checking this place. In recent weeks there has been Marbled Godwit, American Golden-Plover, Brown Pelican. Also, Black-bellied Plover, Short-billed Dowitcher, Pectoral Sandpiper, Stilt Sandpiper, Chipping Sparrow. And those are just the birds that I know about. In recent years a Palm Warbler has wintered here. Might show up again.......
