Tweeters,

I'm celebrating being at home this week by keeping my eyes skyward and
watching for raptor migration over my Battle Ground, Clark County yard.
I've had some success although this location will never become a raptor
hotspot (all birds seen between 11am-12pm):

Monday, October 12:

Turkey Vulture: 17
Sharp-shinned Hawk: 2
Cooper's Hawk: 1
Peregrine: 1
Red-tailed Hawk 3 (one migrant, the other two locals)

Wednesday, October 14:

RED-SHOULDERED HAWK: 1
American Kestrel: 1 (a year yard bird)

About 100 American Robins each morning with lesser number of the following:

Evening Grosbeak
American Pipit
American Goldfinch
Pine Siskin
Purple Finch
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Varied Thrush

Keep your ears and eyes skyward.

Jim
