One quick note: A BirdNote fan from back east is making a roadtrip through the West. She had heard the show about collective nouns for groups of birds and got into the spirit of the thing. When she saw a Clark's Nutcracker -- a life bird for her -- and then many, all in the same area, she came up with the term "a crunch of nutcrackers." Pretty clever, we thought. As was Barb Diehl's "heard of BirdNote listeners!"
Last week, BirdNote aired:
* Yosemite in Fall - Reflections by John Muir
* The Social Pinyon Jay
* Waterfowl Migration - Timing in Flux
* October Migrants - Look Who's Back!
* Little Red Spot on a Gull's Bill
* Alexander Archipelago - Lessons for Climate Change
* Swallows and Mud - A Myth?
