Hi Matt et al.,

That study is great news, so it prompted me to do a little more research.

It turns out they did a follow-up study to see if there was anything more
that could be done to enhance the fecundity of the birds that were gawked
at and closely photographed.

A follow-up study added a new experimental group to the follow-up - birds
that were not only gawked at and photographed, but also were subject to a
combination of loud pishing, and playback of their songs.

It turned out this new experimental group showed even more robust survival
and reproductive rates.

This is very promising, and given that birds in the ABA area seem to
generally be more responsive to these audio cues than those in Britain,
perhaps we will soon see some promising additional studies done in the US!
