Tweeters:

I was surprised to find a SOLITARY SANDPIPER at a temporary pond across the street from the Trader Joes and Ballard Block complex on the north side of the Ballard Bridge last eve (Monday). A shallow pond has formed on the concrete foundation of a structure removed a few years ago--the lot is between 45th and 46th streets, with the Ballard Bridge and 14th Ave NW forming the west and east borders respectively. I obtained great photos but now the memory card has failed. There were 4 other shorebirds species here also.
