[Tweeters] Battle Ground Night Flight and diurnal passage

Hi Tweeters,

Thrushes were *urping* and *blurping* their way south over my Battle
Ground, Clark County yard early this morning to the tune of about 50
audible calls per minute for about 25 minutes starting at about 5:15 this
morning. I'm not quite sure when it ended since I fell back to sleep at
the wrong time. Birds in the yard this morning included an adult male
Black-headed Grosbeak with an accompanying whiny youngster. The last adult
male was about a month ago. An apparent Hermit Thrush was an unlikely
visitor since I wasn't anticipating that species for at least another
month. Anybody out there had migrant Hermit Thrushes in August?

Keep your eyes and ears skyward.

Jim
