At 10:10am this morning, 6/14/16, near the end of our Seattle Audubon Field Trip at Magnuson Park, at Shoreline Pond (I think that’s the name of the pond near the boat launch area) an EASTERN KINGBIRD was perched on a snag that was also popular with swallows. Walk the path that leads east from Shoreline Drive. As you pass the main part of Shoreline Pond, there’s a short gravel path on the left that leads to the water’s edge. From the junction of those paths, the snag can be seen just 20-30 feet east.

I will include a photo or two with my eBird report.

Earlier, at about 8:30am, 5 BLACK SWIFTS flew by, including at least one adult male with a forked tail.
