Joshua and Adam,

I also commend your dedication to birding neighborhood patches. The inclusion of these types of observations greatly increases our understanding of the human/natural area interface, and the species diversity in these habitats. If you haven't read "Subirdia" by Dr. John Marzluff, you should. Good read.

And who knows, something special might pop up like a Brambling or a Redwing. Just got to keep on looking.

Thanks for sharing,

I would like to thank Joshua and Adam...and Jeff for your posts on birding locally...in your neighborhood, so to speak. I have been bemoaning a lack of blocks of time to get out and do some serious birding for far too long, and thanks to these posts I am encouraged to do smaller segments of both time and area.

Now if this beachy weather would just cooperate!
