Hello all,
Just read on LCBirds that Bob and Pat Woodley found the first reported
Long-billed Curlew in the Lower Columbia Basin this year over in Benton
County. We have been looking in WW with no luck.

Enjoyed a day birding with Dasha and Joe - the male and female RUSTY
BLACKBIRDS are still at the blood pond on Dodd road in Walla Walla
county. Paul and Judy joined us out there as well - all had great looks.
A flock of 50 Sandhill Cranes flew over us there - headed for Othello
for the SANDHILL CRANE FESTIVAL next weekend.

At MP300 ponds were many Greater White-fronted and Snow Geese with 4
ROSS'S Geese - WWCo. yearbird #162.

At 2Rivers was one Red-breasted Merganser among the hundreds of waterfowl.

Around 5 we were up Jasper Mountain and had great looks at a pair of
Mountain Bluebirds then an adult Golden Eagle flew right at us -
literally 50 ft. out - the wind was howling and it was trying to make
headway up the mountain!

Stormy weather made a great sunset - with a double rainbow over the
green fields - wonderful end to the day.
