Hey tweets,

I'm back up at college in Bellingham and I've visited Fairhaven Park the
past couple weeks and had a few nice birds. I haven't birded here in the
fall yet so it was nice to see what type of birds migrate through here in
late September and early October. Unfortunately I missed most of the
warblers, flycatchers, and vireos. Some Highlights include:

Green-winged Teal - Female at Hoag's Pond. First for patch
Woodpeckers - All 5 expected have been seen
Hermit Thrush - 2 on interurban trail. Patch first
Swainson's Thrush - One seen today eating dogwood berries and whitting.
Pretty late for them I think.
American Pipit - One flyover. Patch First
Purple Finch - Lots of flyovers calling

I have gotten two new patch birds in the last three visits so that brings
my personal total to 84 species and 89 overall. 100 birds is getting ever
so close.
