Tweets,

I missed yesterday's walk at Nisqually and got the chance for a quick walk
today instead. I was there from 9 to about 11 and only did the orchard and
the boardwalk. It seemed awful quiet and I didn't see that much but it was
a good day. I guess more eyes and ears do make a more productive walk.

Highlights included CINNAMON TEAL and AMERICAN GOLDFINCH. I also had 5
species of SWALLOWS and the lone GREAT HORNED OWL sitting by the nest
cavity.

The CINNAMON TEAL was on the pond next to the parking lot among the other
ducks there, including GREEN-WINGED TEAL, NORTHERN SHOVELERS, MALLARDS, and
COOTS.

I SAW THE a male AMERICAN GOLDFINCH near the turn off to the twin barns and
had YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS throughout the refuge, mostly AUDUBON'S. I
didn't see any other warblers but heard several COMMON YELLOWTHROAT and did
see a BROWN CREEPER.

For the day I had 37 species and now have 87 for the year. Mammals seen
were COTTONTAILED RABBIT and RACCOON.
