This morning I stopped by Discovery Park for a few hours and the birding
was very active. I ran into George Pagos and friend who were also enjoying
birding the park today. There were several highlights as the birds were
putting on quite a show, with the highlight for me being the DUSKY
FLYCATCHER being seen near the stairs to the west of the visitor's center
(where Charlie Wright had reported it yesterday). Other good birds
included:

PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER - was perched up and calling

HERMIT THRUSH - one seen behind the visitor's center

WILSON'S WARBLER - two seen in shrubs across the road from the Utah Pond

BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER - one seen well and many calling

ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER - several

COMMON RAVEN - one heard in conifers near the visitor's center

HAIRY WOODPECKER - one bird seen

BUSHTIT - deserve a mention as they were finishing up their nest behind the
visitor's center

Cheers and Good Birding;
