> Today at about 12:05 Karen and I along with Bill Boyington saw the Swamp Sparrow at Lake Union Park. We saw it while we were standing on the southwest corner of the southernmost Center for Wooden Boats raft/building. The sparrow ranged from the pilings close to the orange metal chairs on shore to about 50 feet north along the shore. Karen and Bill initially saw it disappear into some thick grass. We waited at least 20 minutes for the Swamp Sparrow to reappear so we could get good looks. Once it did reappear it worked its way along the shore in plain view until a crow scared it back into hiding. Here are some photos...
