[Tweeters] Raven question

I have a pair of raven I've been feeding and enjoying some interactions 
with over the winter. Today after I set out their food and steeped away 
a few yards I noticed what appeared to be a light-colored patch on the 
breast of one. I didn't have binoculars bur wondered if it might be a 
brooding patch. Do ravens develop such patches during incubation?
