[Tweeters] Nesting Coot?

For a week a lone coot has been paddling around a marshy pond where
mallards and wood ducks are the usual fare. Never had a coot before. Very
close by there are the usual rafts of coots on Lake Washington, but the
subject bird appears to remain solo when it's out on the lake.
Question: could this bird be considering nesting here in North Seattle at
this time of year? No sign of a partner but there's lots of cover.
