Our suet feeder is enclosed in a cage to deter the starlings. I just
watched a Cooper's Hawk successfully snag a Bushtit from the group feeding
at our suet. It flew in, clung to the cage and managed to grab one bird
while the rest scattered. It's now feeding deep in a Big Leaf Maple.
